Job Location: Zeeland, MI, USA

  • Prism Glass is located between Holland and Zeeland Michigan, which is about 25 minutes from downtown Grand Rapids. Forbes magazine named Holland as one of the Top Five Cities in the U.S., and the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index ranked the city as the second-healthiest, happiest place to live in America. With a solid job market, low cost of living and loads of arts and culture West Michigan also has some great beach towns including Holland and Grand Haven along with quaint resort towns like Saugatuck (20 minutes away). Holland/Zeeland is a great place to live, work and raise a family. West Michigan continues to become a “hub” for craft beer breweries, all situated in the Holland and Grand Rapids downtown areas. Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Generate sales by estimating

  • Accurately prepare estimates

  • Develop relationships with clients that lead to project opportunities and sales

  • Maintain relationships with clients and other team members

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Team-player dedicated to supporting the success of Prism Glass

    • Effectively communicate job and customer details to other Prism Glass members

    • Understand the needs of the client

    • Leadership by example

  • Estimating

    • Evaluate project leads to determine scope of work, schedule, contractual requirements and create a bidding strategy and understand, read, review specifications; understand contract documents, drawings and have the ability to do take offs

    • Understand and use Glazier Software

    • Develop accurate, concise clarifications and assumptions from contractors/architects

    • Proactively follow-up with customers on pending sales quotes

    • Manage multiple estimating projects concurrently with ability to multi-task

    • Communication

    • Excel in customer service

    • Excellent verbal/written communications skills

    • Entry of relevant details into company sales software in a timely manner

    • Proactively communicate with company vendors

    • Clearly convey and manage realistic customer expectations

 

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

  • Experience with fabricating, and/or installing commercial glass products

  • Minimum of 3 years estimating commercial glazing.   Knowledge of commercial glazing products and installation methods, a must

  • Curtainwall, storefront, entrances, glass handrails, translucent panels

  • Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Preferred experience with Glazier Studio

  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Be a proactive problem-solver and solution-finder

  • Big-picture minded
